Marketing Group


The marketing group meets on a weekly basis to provide its members a better understanding of the field of marketing. In order to do so, we come up with mock advertising campaigns, marketing plans, and public relations strategies for real life or mock products or services.

One of the main goals of the marketing team is to come up with an executable marketing plan for Women in Business to increase its presence on campus, recruit more members and build credibility. In order to do so, we conduct research on the target audience of our organization by conducting surveys and interviews both inside and outside of the organization. We also analyze as a group the strategies and organization of similar career groups on campus in order to better position our organization to potential members.

In addition, we also discuss the skills required to pursue a career in marketing, the different internship opportunities in the field and how to better position one’s self to obtain a job or an internship in the field.

By the end of the year, members of this group should be fully equipped to market any product or service effectively, to any target audience, using the tools and skills they have acquired from our regular meetings.
