Mission Statement

firefox-gray The University of Chicago Women in Business (UCWiB) is dedicated to advancing the success of enterprising young women entering the corporate world by providing a platform on which their specific concerns and challenges can be addressed proactively. Through educational, leadership, and mentorship initiatives, WiB seeks to expose women to a variety of business careers and provide extensive networking opportunities. UCWiB serves as a solid liaison between the student body and the corporate world, offering a unique opportunity for women at the University of Chicago to expand and sharpen their knowledge of business opportunities, ultimately giving them the skills to succeed as future leaders.

2012 Fall Conference - Thanks!

Thank you to all the young women and professionals who attended this year's Women in Business Career Explorations Conference! We hope you had an interesting, engaging, and inspiring experience.

J.P. Morgan Winning Women Event

Women in Business is proud to be hosting a panel/networking "Dinner and Learn" event featuring female J.P. Morgan executives who will speak to the firm's Winning Women program. The event will take place on Thursday October 18 at 7:00-8:30pm in Stuart 105. Business casual attire is required and Cedar's will be served. WiB and non-WiB members of all years are encouraged to attend - females only, please.

Welcome!

Class of 2016, welcome to UChicago! We really enjoyed meeting many of you last Friday at the RSO Fair, and we are excited to welcome you as new members into the WiB community. To find out more about what we do, please join us at our first introductory meeting, happening this Thursday October 11 at 7:00pm in Stuart 105.
To our returning members, welcome back! For upperclasswomen with an interest in consulting, we invite you to join us for a networking session with The Cambridge Group, cohosted by the UC Consulting Club on Thursday October 11, 5:00-6:30pm in Stuart 105 (before our meeting). Hope to see you there!

Kaplan Partnership

WiB is excited to announce a partnership with Kaplan Test Prep, which will give members access to special GMAT prep events and resources in the coming academic year. In addition to the many exciting events we are planning for next Fall, Kaplan has currently given WiB a GMAT prep book and practice notepad. Any upperclassmen planning on taking the test can feel free to reach out to Megan Matte to borrow it!
